Ghosts have "landed" in the local park. The kids in hiding...

Ghost Pilot
But that is a ghost thing. We keep coming back to the same place until we
resolve the problem that took place there.

Ghost Friend
But we never seem to solve the problem.

Ghost Pilot
True. We have never found the box.

Ghost Friend
If it is here, then we should be able to find it.

Ghost Friend
When was it that we dropped it?

Ghost Pilot
Hey I didn’t drop it. You dropped it. I gave it to you to hold on to.

Ghost Friend
You were the one that decided to do a silly barrel roll.

Ghost Pilot
I was bored. We had a long flight. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Ghost Friend
Next time you decide to do spins while we are flying tell me to hold tight to the
loose stuff will ya?

Ghost Pilot
Next time I holler back ROLL.  Take the hint.

Ghost Friend
(Pointing off stage)
Maybe it is there, we haven’t looked over there yet.

(They walk off stage)
(The kids come out of hiding)

Gerry
Did you see all that?  Who were they?

Robbie
No Gerry, not who, what were they?!

August
You mean they were…

Gerry
They couldn’t be.

Robbie
You know what I am saying.  They were…

Corrie
Ectoplasmic, sometimes-translucent, highly deceased organisms that are
blissfully ignorant of their past-tense status.

August
They were GHOSTS.

Corrie
That’s what I said.

Gerry
No, you said…

Robbie
Hush.
